ninjas battle style revolved around their ability to manipulate sound.
Not unlike Zabuza Momochi, they had a very keen awareness and
understanding of soundwaves. By simply listening to the strokes of
other ninjas' pencils to determine the answers for the written test.
Their main attack was done with help from the "Zankuuha Arm" on their
right forearm, which he used to generate sound for their attacks. Their
abilities attacked the inner ear, directing their sound deep into it,
which would cause great pain, disorientation, and nausea. By directing
sound through the water in his body, they could still generate the
effect.

unnatural enhancements that enhanced their abilities; in this case,
they were fitted with hollow air tubes that extended through their arms
and opened through their hands, allowing them to propel a combination
of air pressure and sound in various ratios, controlled by their
chakra. They claimed to be able to control the sound more precisely
than simply firing it in one direction.
