Name: White :: Replication Tag :: Location - Chest :: Total - One
Description
-Looks: About the same size as a regular exploding tag, though it might be a bit smaller. The color is different as well as this tag is a brilliant white. On the front of the tag, rather than the usual writing, there is a rather complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The back is blank. This tag is made of rather sturdy paper and almost feels like plastic. As such, it is difficult to bend or to soil. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "baizou" or "double". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability.
-Capabilities: This tag allows Hiro to replicate any number of tags almost immediately. This tag, at Hiro's current level, can only be used three times per battle [single thread]. By injecting a small amount of chakra into the tag, it can replicate any other explosion tag of Hiro's set. The tag will not replicate anything other than explosions tags or something of similar shape, size, and/or material. The tag can replicate one tag into a maximum of twenty copies and a minimum of two copies. The Fuuinjutsu seal pulls on a number of blank tags at a non-disclosed location and mimics the abilities of the tag Hiro wishes to replicate. [As the cost to the user of this tag is high, Hiro cannot use or mold chakra for one complete post after using the tag.]
Story: Hiro, on the battlefield, usually had trouble with running out of tags. Though, now, she does have a particularly larger arsenal of tags, Hiro still wanted to have a Plan B. Like Shikamaru Nara had said, "It's not the first move that wins a fight, but the second." These tags were Hiro's second move. She created this tag after laborious hours of work and though she cannot use it to its full potential, Hiro was more than happy with the result. With this tag Hiro can replicate any other of her tags in almost seconds, replenishing her arsenal enough so that she'd still be able to fight... even without chakra.
Name: Brown :: Flash Tags :: Location - Belt :: Total - 10
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is slightly darker however, a deep brown. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "hoshi" or "star". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The flash tags are made with a much lighter than regular explosion tags. This allows the tags to practically float in the air when thrown. When the tag is activated it will suddenly fizzle and then a bright flash of light will cover an incredibly large area. The tag will shine a light in almost every direction, a white light, even towards the sky.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, releases an incredibly bright flash of light to temporarily blind opponents. The bright flash of light will be incredibly white and will last about seven seconds. The light will shine from all directions and will cover an area of about 60 feet x 60 feet. Staring directly at the tag as it flashes can cause permanent eye damage and some other serious side-effects. It is almost impossible to look at the tag as it explodes. The flash produces no sound and simply shines brightly before dissipating.

Name: Red :: Dragon Tags :: Location - Belt [20]; Pouch [30] :: Total - 50
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is a dark red, however. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "kasai" or "fire". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The dragon tags are made with a very lightweight, but sturdy paper. This ensures their longevity and allows them to be more effectively used in groups.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, creates a much larger explosion than simple regular explosion notes. These tags are also infused with a highly flammable substance, which causes them to ignite faster. This causes the tags to explode much faster when activated. Against an unaware opponent, this can cause a bit of trouble. The dragon tags are quite powerful and produce both larger and more fiery explosions as compared to regular explosion notes. The dragon tags will explode about one or two seconds after being activated.
Story: A merely upgraded version of Hiro's original tag.
Name: Orange :: Expanding Tags :: Location - Belt [5]; Pouch [5] :: Total - 10
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is a bright orange, however. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "sodachi" or "growth". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The expanding tags are made with incredibly thin, fire retardant microfibers to ensure that they don't rip and to ensure that they don't catch on fire.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, expands by a rather violent combustion reaction. The expanding tags are actually a number of tags connected together in a rectangle shape. When fully expanded, and filled with air, the connected tags are about the size of a seven feet [L] by four feet [W] by three feet rectangle [H]. The expanding tags, once activated, will immediately expand and then deflate as soon as they have reached maximum capacity. Once the expanding tags have deflated they will disintegrate, allowing no other shinobi to steal Hiro's technological advances. Hiro employs the expanding tags to get her out of trouble in some rough situations, to surprise opponents, and to help her avoid a number of attacks. These tags, though not flammable, are somewhat fragile and will break under most instances.
Story: Upon further reflection with her attacks, Hiro determined that she needed additional ways to surprise an opponent or catch them off guard. Hiro upon researching a variety of traps and weapons, Hiro created this original tag. It is based off the principle of combustion energy and fairly lightweight materials. If lucky, it can really catch an opponent off guard and additionally help Hiro in her own attacks. This tag was one of the hardest tags for Hiro to make since she had, really, never seen anything quite like it.
Name: Yellow :: Ignition Tags :: Location - Belt :: Total - 10
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is a deep gold, however. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "kaenshingou" or "flare". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The ignition tags are infused with a long burning material, that allows them to hold a flame once initiated for thirty seconds or more. Hiro often will attach these tags to her forearms, on her armor, where they will cause no damage when lit.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, ignites on fire for a long burn of about ten seconds, an intense red glaring from it. This tag is very hot and capable of igniting all material it comes in contact with. The tag is, in essence, an incomplete explosive note. It behaves in the same way as any other tag: able to adhere to surfaces with chakra or tied to kunai or other throwing weapons to be activated remotely with half a handseal. Hiro will, most often, ignite the tag and then attach to her armor, which is able to harder to about the thickness of a steel plate. Once that is done, Hiro had simple have the tag ready for about two or three attacks that she can use the tags for.
Story: Zatoichi came to his Hiro with a conundrum of igniting his Toad Oil without having to deal with the unneeded risk of the explosive notes being used in close proximity. Hiro worked laboriously on the tag for...about fifteen seconds, then taught her old master how to create and utilize them. Hiro, after she had completed the first version of the tag for Zatoichi, created her own version of the tag. It is, essentially, an upgraded version of the ignition tag that she created for Zatoichi. This tag is, now, a highly important part of her arsenal.
Name: Green :: Poison Tags :: Location - Belt [5]; Pouch [5] :: Total - 10
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is a dark red, however. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "dokuso" or "toxin". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The poison tags are made with a slow burning paper, allowing them to continually release their poisonous substances. The paper is also infused with acrid materials, causing the smoke released to be poisonous as well as repulsive.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, create a large cloud of poisonous gas upon detonation or impact. The cloud will be a deep, unnatural green and cannot be penetrated by normal vision. Hiro uses this tag to both poison opponents and to create a smoke screen for herself. As Hiro is immune to most, if not all, poisons she is not affected by the poisonous gas. The poisonous mainly attacks the brain and the lungs, nearly halting the systems. The poison decreases the flow of oxygen in the lungs slowing down brain function, primarily, and motor function to a great degree. Opponents will have immense trouble running and moving and performing techniques most of all. In the brain, the poison causes mild confusion and a severe case of nausea. The poison will affect an opponent if they breath in any amount at all, but he effects of the poison only last about five posts.
Story: A merely upgraded version of Hiro's original tag.
Name: Blue :: Restoration Tags :: Location - Pouch :: Total - 5
Description
-Looks: Restoration tags are a bit smaller than regular explosion notes, about half the size. They are also a deep blue in color, as opposed to the normal light brown. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "kousei" or "rebirth". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The restoration tags are made with a very lightweight, but sturdy paper. This ensures their longevity and practicality when in battle.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, can replenish one-fourth of Hiro's chakra in an instances. Because of the artificial gain of chakra, Hiro cannot use more than one tag per battle [thread] otherwise she is liable to damage her chakra system. The tag has a complex Fuuinjutsu seal that allows it to hold chakra. The process of making these tags is labor intensive and, therefore, she does not have or make many of them. The tags will hold the chakra until used. These tags can also be used on other people as well. It will return one-fourth of Hiro's capacity and not one-fourth the capacity of the person it is being administered to. To administer the tag, Hiro must simply place it directly on her skin and activate it like any other tag. The transfer of chakra is nearly instantaneous and will give off a faint blue glow. After that, the tag will disintegrate.
Story: With Hiro's particular style of battle, she uses up chakra rapidly to overwhelm and best opponents quickly. However, in the case of a drawn out battle... Hiro was a little worse for wear. Ryuu of the Yagami first alerted her to this fact and she set out almost immediately to correct it. Through extensive research and trial and error, Hiro was able to create a tag that could restore almost one-fourth of her chakra capacity in the blink of an eye. The process is labor-intensive, however, and takes up quite a bit of time. In light of these, Hiro cannot carry and does not possess many restoration tags.
Name: Purple :: Lion Tags :: Location - Pouch :: Total - 5
Description
-Looks: It is the same size, shape as a regular explosion tag. The color is a dark red, however. On both sides of the tag there is a complex Fuuinjutsu seal. The Fuuinjutsu seal reads "houkou" or "roar". Around the internal seal there are extending additional seals that hold the stability of the tag and ensures durability. The lion tags are made with a highly flammable and quick burning paper. When activated it is nothing more than a split second until the effects of the tag are released into the air. The lions tags are infused with Fuuton chakra and are therefore quite powerful.
-Capabilities: This tag, when activated, lets off an incredibly loud sound at about 125 dB. For humans, at 125 dB, pain will result as well as temporary hearing lose. Temporary hearing lose complete ruins balance for a period of time as well as disorients the opponent. Hiro protects herself from the hearing blast by using Zatoichi's Echo Pulse Reconnaissance ability. However, instead of using it to enhance her hearing, Hiro uses it to protect it. During the time in which Hiro activates the tag and it explodes, letting off the sound, Hiro will completely shield her ears until she can hear practically nothing. These tags, additionally, release a pressure way at close ranges. At mid-ranges, opponents will only be affected by the sound. For comparison purposes, a sound at 125 dB is about 10 dB louder than a rock concert (very loud rock concert) or sandblasting.
Story: Hiro has watched the way Zatoichi has fought countless of times and had long ago decided that she wanted to add sound to her arsenal. Hiro wasn't quite sure how to go about doing that, but eventually decided on trying to use her Fuuinjutsu skills to create something completely new. After long hours of research and few failed test-runs, Hiro was finally able to create these lion tags. Not only did they add sound to her powerful arsenal, but Hiro had an effective way to use them at a very close range without much danger to herself. This tag ended up being a perfect addition to round out all of her tags.

Name: Shrapnel Cores :: Location - Left forearm :: Total - 5
Description
-Looks: A small bomb, brown, that has the Onoda Clan symbol on it. The Onoda Clan symbol is a red circle [placed on opposite sides of the bomb] with four perpendicular lines extending from it from 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees. The bomb is a little smaller than a baseball, for comparison purposes, and weighs much less. The bomb can easily fit into Hiro's palm and can be used on the fly. The bomb has no obvious place for a fuse nor does it have any obvious weak point. The bomb is completely smooth, originally made of two interlocking half-spheres. In the interior of the bomb there is an array of senbon stuck into a purely black metal sphere. This inner sphere is lined with red explosion tags which completely obliterate the outside covering.
-Capabilities: The bomb can be remotely detonated or it will otherwise explode on impact. The bomb is filled with about two hundred mini-senbon that, when the bomb explodes, they are sent out in a dangerous array to all sides. The bomb, additionally, completely obliterates itself which adds metal pieces to the mix of dangerous shrapnel. Hiro can use the bomb at close range or long range because of her Souton - Phasing abilities. Hiro can simply phase through the shrapnel or avoid it completely by going underground.
Story: After her fight with Ibaku, so many years ago, Hiro added this small bomb to her equipment. In those days her tags had been her main way of damaging her opponents, but Hiro knew that she needed something else. Perhaps something better. So, after spending a few days in the Onoda Complex lab, she found a large stock of these shrapnel cores. Hiro tested them out and found that they were exactly what she was looking for. Hiro now periodically travels into the Onoda Complex to replenish her stock. These bombs were not originally developed by the Onoda.

Hiro can use the bomb at close range or long range because of her Souton - Phasing abilities. Hiro can simply phase through the shrapnel or avoid it completely by going underground. This bomb is more dangerous than its predecessor, the shrapnel core, because of the use of glass. The glass makes it nearly impossible to see the shrapnel and makes it incredibly hard to avoid. This bomb is additionally more dangerous for Hiro because she cannot see the shrapnel as well either. The aim of this bomb is to ram pieces of glass into an opponent for pain and a lot of bleeding. The glass is fragile as well so, when in the body or simply on the ground, it will break with enough pressure.
Story: This idea originally stemmed from the glass kunai that Ibaku have given to Hiro. After being able to use the glass kunai, and see its abilities, Hiro felt that glass could be a valuable asset. Experiencing with the glass that Ibaku made, Hiro was able to recreate it and place it inside the bomb. The process was lengthy and resulted in many, many failed attempts. Sometimes the glass wasn't hard enough and sometimes it was too hard. Hiro now has the formula down pat, but the process is still labor-intensive not to mention expensive. Because of this, Hiro only carries three of the glass cores at a time.

Name: Kiretsu - Fissure :: Location - Chest
Description
-Looks: Kiretsu is a cane-sword, much like one that Zatoichi, Hiro's "friend" had during his Genin years, however this one is noticeably more remarkable than a simple regular blade. Firstly, this weapon is made of mostly steel: the cane appears to be made from a simple black material from end to end, and a leather grip is fastened where Hiro holds the cane. It is perfectly smooth with a brushed finish and is approximately one meter long. Inside the cane is a specialized carbon blade created by Hiro Onoda using her Souton abilities. The blade does not look particularly different from any other straight, single-edged blade.
-Capabilities: Souton is the ability to manipulate matter on the molecular level. While generally this ability is used to pass through objects, the Onoda have found a myriad of applications for it, including weapon construction. Hiro, being a weapons expert, constructed a blade of perfect sharpness: the blade being made of carbon allows her to sharpen the tip to the thickness of a single molecule. A blade that sharp can cut through, literally, anything, as it wedges itself between the molecular bonds of matter and separates it. Unfortunately this sharp also has a tendency to lose that sharpness, meaning that only the most perfect cuts with the sword will maintain its sharpness. Off angle cuts will begin to dull the blade, though the sharpness will still cut through most objects. In prolonged battle, the blade will begin to lose that ability, making the sword suited more for assassination strikes or killing blows than it is to rage a long battle. To compensate for this, Hiro has combined the blade with a small gem she obtained from the Grass Country [Jounin Exam]. The gem was the remnants of a far more powerful chakra augmenter and, though this gem, Hiro can resharpen the blade to a single molecule of thickness with a small application of Souton chakra. This allows Hiro to always have the blade at the ready and it will never lose its sharpness completely.
Story: Hiro Onoda, being a weapon's expert and a member of the Onoda, has spent countless hours along with her clansmen studying how to use their phasing abilities to create more potent weapons. Unsatisfied with the abilities of her current sword, she sought to figure out a way to make a cutting edge more perfect. She first discovered that constructing a blade out of carbon steel granted better molecular control, allowing her to increase sharpness. Then, utilizing her Chouzetsugan and Souton, she slowly shaved away at the blade until the edge was only the width of a single molecule. The blade was perfect, able to sever whatever she wanted. She kept it, of course. Only later would she present Zatoichi with the first prototype of the blade, guilty that she destroyed two of his four bladearangs in a tragic battle involving Azu Saiyato's death.
Name: Onsei Adamu - The Voice of Adam :: Location - Chest
Description
-Looks: [ .: X :. ] [ .: X :. ] Onsei Adamu is unique look sword. It includes gentle curves as well as sharp points for a very threatening and interesting design. The sword is sharp at almost every location along the blade, save for the hilt. The sword starts with a sharp point at the end, used for stabbing purposes. The sword then runs into a dark, wooden handle. From there the sword curves downward before sloping in a sharp curve and rising once again the form the point. The sword has a number of "holes", as you might say, to cut down on the weight of the sword. Flowing back down from the main point is the sharpest portion of the blade. From their is moves into an equally sharp hand guard that counterbalances the weight of the blade. Then, it's back down the blades sharp point. The blade is perfectly balanced and is between two and a half and three feet in length.
-Capabilities: The blade readily accepts Fuuton - Wind chakra, making it additionally sharper. Hiro usually wields the blade and uses her armor to her advantage, flipping and twisting the blade directly across and against her body. Hiro's style of blade wielding is completely her own and was developed with months of training. The sword, additionally, amplifies Hiro's Fuuton - Wind attacks, which can yield some truly devastating results. Hiro usually keeps this blade close to her, though it can be thrown if the need arises. The jutsu associated with this blade are as follows.

Description: Hiro will, first, charge Onsei Adamu with a small amount of Fuuton - Wind chakra. She will then ram the tip of the blade into the ground, the main part of it facing the opponent. Hiro will then, by shifting her body weight, push and pull the blade forward. Hiro will release a compressed amount of Fuuton - Wind chakra that has been combined with dirt and dust. The dust and dirt can create a sort of screen to both hide Hiro as well as help her think of her next attack. This jutsu takes very little chakra, but can be a valuable asset in a pinch.

Description: Hiro will, first, charge Onsei Adamu with an intermediate amount of Fuuton - Wind chakra. She will then become stationary and ground herself, flinging the blade up in a parallel direction to the earth's surface. Hiro will then begin charging the blade with a larger amount of Fuuton - Wind chakra. Hiro will charge it for about three to five seconds, the blade increasingly glowing blue, before releasing the attack. A large near cannon of compressed Fuuton - Wind chakra will shoot towards the enemy, hoping to barrel them down completely. The blast has about a two feet radius, but it will still cause damage in a much wider area. Anything caught in this blast will be torn apart, the Fuuton - Wind chakra cutting them to pieces. This technique is quite powerful.
Story: A number of days after her Chuunin promotion, Hiro decided to travel outside of Konohagakure for some personal reflection and training. She set off and a few days later came to a small town. She decided to rest there and see what kind of things they had to offer. One thing in particular that caught her eye was a skillful blacksmith that had a defined specialty with swords. Hiro asked him if she might be able to purchase some of his equipment, but the blacksmith promptly refused. Hiro then made him a challenge that if she could beat him in a sword fight, he would then have to make custom weapons for her. The man agreed, thinking he could never be beat (especially by a small girl), and accepted the challenge with a laugh. Using her speed, acrobatics, and her superior skill Hiro was able to best the man in the competition. The blacksmith upheld his word and over a two week period he created three weapons for Hiro: Onsei Adamu - The Voice of Adam, Atsureki - Eris, and Kousen - Ares.
Name: Atsureki and Kousen - Eris and Ares :: Location - Right wrist; Left wrist
Description
-Looks: [ .: X :.] Atsureki and Kousen are two identical blades that are incredibly sharp and made to be held with the blades pointing downwards. The blade starts with an incredibly shiny metal handle that attaches to about mid-way through the blade. The blade is curved upwards from the connection point and then comes to a sharp edge. Coming back down, to the tapered part of the blade, it follows a gentle curve which has a point of disconnection for weight balance and stability. The blade comes down to another sharp point and then back up to once again connect to the handle. The blade is an almost dull gray and is very sharp.
-Capabilities: These blades have no additional abilities beyond the norm. For now.

Name: Glass Kunai :: Location - Pouch
Description
-Looks: A kunai made completely out of glass. Really, who would have guessed. It is clear and by any stretch of the mind looks quite pure, not an imperfection to be found. At the correct angle, the kunai has the potential to reflect and refract light. It's quite fragile, considering, and an ample amount of force will shatter it. However, used correctly, it is incredibly sharp, much sharper than most other blades, and can be quite deadly.
-Capabilities: The kunai has no additional capabilities beyond the ordinary.
Story: This kunai was presented to Hiro after her fight with Hinoshi Ibaku, a closer personal friend of the Hokage. His exact words, upon giving it to her, were, "When you can use something like this without it shattering, you will be able to understand the finer balance of fighting." Hiro was able to use this blade successfully multiple times during her Chuunin Exam and now carries the blade proudly. Hiro also feels that the blade holds some sort of great significance. After Ibaku's grave betrayal, Hiro felt a stinging sense of pride well within her. Given the chance, and if she had the proper skill, she would try to kill the man.

Name: Weapons Bandages :: Location - Left forearm; Right forearm; Chest
Description
-Looks: The weapon bandages are long strips of thick white cotton approximately four inches wide, that wrap around Hiro's forearms and her chest. Each of the bandages have several seals marked on them, storing weapons within them. The seals are marked in segments and written in striking black ink. From an opponent's view, they appear entirely normal and their secret contents can only be viewed if the bandages are unwrapped.
-Capabilities: Each bandage contains weapons and equipment for her to summon by applying chakra to the seal. The bandage for the right arm contains all of her Shiro Ku equipment, each component having its own seal: the short wave radio, the Denshobato orb, the Cloud Beasts scrolls, the Doubouku scrolls, the teleportation stone, and her blade of the Shiro Ku. The bandage on the left arm contains the remainder of her specialized equipment. The remainder of her items are held within her belt or in a pouch on her leg. The bandages cannot serve as simple "pockets" however, once an item has been pulled from the seal it requires a re-sealing in order to be stored again.
Story: As Hiro is primarily a Taijutsu user, her main strength is her speed. After countless travels and experiences, Hiro gained a lot of items and new equipment. Upon realizing that she was being bogged down with the weight, from wearing and carrying so much equipment, Hiro decided to seal all of her equipment into two bandages that she placed on her arms. By touching the bandages and applying chakra, Hiro can now withdraw any equipment she needs quickly and without begin hampered down by other heavy items and equipment.
Name: ANBU Med-Kit :: Location - Chest
Description
-Looks: The kit is a small white box, with a small red ANBU symbol inscribed on the side. The box is a very light-weight metal, almost impossibly so, as not to bog down medical shinobi in the field. The kit has a small black strap attached to two opposite sides of the kit so that it might be carried if the need arises. The kit, for now, is somewhat banged up from Hiro's countless trials and travels and is a little worse for wear. However, everything inside is still usable and, therefore, it is still worth carrying.
-Capabilities: A kit filled with salves, bandages, and instruments used for basic medical procedures out in the field. This is given to all Med-Nin upon their enstatement into the program, and must be carried with them at all times. Hiro has altered her shoulder strap so that the kit can be carried around her shoulders with a belting mechanism.
Story: Hiro was given this ANBU Med-kit after a fight with Hana Saihoushi, a Sunagakure Chuunin. The battle can be found here. Hiro now keeps the kit sealed within a bandage on her chest in order to carry it around with her at all times. Not being a Med-nin herself, this kit comes in handy.
Name: Sumi - Ink
Description
-Looks: Black, somewhat liquidy, and rather dull in appearance. Compared to other inks, this type is quite coarse and much more powdery. This allows Hiro much easier access to the substance and makes certain that none to little is wasted. This ink is most often used in junction with Bunshi Supuraisu - Molecule Splice. Hiro keeps this ink in a small, waterproof satchel attached directly onto her belt. It is a closed bag, no obvious openings, and Hiro must phase her fingers into the bag to obtain any ink. Ink is replenished within the bag through injections.
-Capabilities: This ink has no capabilities beyond the norm.
Story: Upon mastering Bunshi Supuraisu - Molecule Splice, Hiro knew that she wanted a more transportable way to use and capitalize upon her Fuuinjutsu skills. Hiro experimented with a number of other seals and a variety of materials, but decided that she would, ultimately, simply use ink. Hiro now carries ink in order to draw seals upon whatever object she deems necessary. Hiro was able to obtain the ink from a simple shop near the Mea Complex and returns there ever so often to replenish her stash. The satchel that Hiro carries the ink was custom made by her, using the Bunshi Supuraisu ability once again.
Name: Explosive Senbon :: Location - Belt [20]; Pouch [20] :: Total - 40
Description
-Looks: Explosive Senbon appear, from initial look, to be regular senbon in size and length, with a metallic sheen to the the pointed, sharpened cylinders of metal. In fact the only difference one can perceive through sensory means is the an almost imperceptible difference in weight; explosive senbon are slightly lighter due to the nature of their construction. Some versions of the explosive senbon used by other Onoda are painted red in order for users to use the correct one in the correct situation, but Hiro's expertise in the weapon as well as her control of the Chouzetsugan eye makes such failsafes unneccesary.
-Capabilities: Explosive Senbon retain the same piercing and throwing abilities of any other senbon, piercing flesh with precise holes and being difficult to track with the naked eye due to their size. Tucked inside the senbon, however, is a tightly wrapped explosive note, laying within a hollowed out portion of the senbon. Once thrown, the explosve note within the chamber of the metal weapon detonates. Because the senbon is partially hollowed, the surrounding shaft of the weapon is weakened, easily blown apart from the release of the explosion. Hot liquid metal of the senbon is hurled at tremendous speeds along with the fiery explosion of the note itself. This makes being struck and pierced by an explosive senbon particularly deadly. Hiro is also able to add her Souton chakra to it, phasing these senbon into distant targets and detonating them.
Story: The explosive senbon were the result of difficult research done by an Onoda Weapons Research and Development team many years ago, during the early years of the Third Hokage. The difficulty lie in the use and throwing of exposive notes in combat; the standard method of attaching them to kunai, while effective, was not very stealthy and telegraphed too much with their visual appearance of the tag along with the sound of it fluttering through the air. The ulttimate result was the Explosve Senbon; by using their phasing abilities, the Onoda used a tool to phase the center core of a senbon, just enough to leave room for an explosive note that was tightly rolled, which in turn was also phased into the weapon. These weapons soon gave the Onoda a distinct advantage by peppering them in with their usual senbon, creating a field of spines, some of which could explode. The Onoda's Chouzetsugan eye would allow them to determine which of the senbon were explosive and which were not, making them deadly foes. These weapons are very time consuming to make, so Onoda are encouraged to use them sparingly.
